Dentistry for Your Fabulous Smile!

You can have a smile as beautiful as any you see on TV or in the movies.

Dr. Nichole DeMars is continually seeking out more education to perfect her craft and has studied with nationally recognized specialists as Dr. David Hornbrook and Dr. Larry Rosenthal.

Your cosmetic work will be planned and placed, so that it naturally and beautifully complements any other treatments we provide from general care to oral surgery, TMJ problems, or sleep apnea symptoms.

The Goal of Esthetic Dentistry

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are the crowning touch for any smile. Wafer thin, naturally translucent, and beautifully white. What could feel better?

Porcelain veneers require an artistic eye and skill in preparing the tooth for the veneer. We can also place veneers that require a little less reshaping of your natural tooth, called minimal prep veneers.

Full Mouth Restoration

There are times when nearly every tooth in your mouth needs some type of restoration. They could have been neglected through the years, badly discolored, or illness and accidents could have damaged your teeth. Dr. DeMars will discuss with you what your options are and create a customized treatment plan to restore your mouth to optimal function and beauty.

Crown Lengthening

If Dr. DeMars is placing a crown for you, she may need to surgically reshape the tissues around your gums to create a larger overall surface for the crown.

Tooth and Gum Recontouring

If you have a “gummy” smile, Dr. DeMars can use a special laser to remove excess gum tissue and reveal more of your natural tooth. Like most of our treatments, there’s minimal discomfort with gum recontouring and minimal swelling afterwards.

Dr. DeMars can also fine-tune the shape of your teeth by polishing down tiny amounts of tooth that may overlap or are longer than your other teeth. She can also build up your teeth with a composite resin to fill in small gaps or lengthen a tooth that’s shorter, so you have a more symmetrical smile!

Composite Bonding

Not every cosmetic procedure is complex or dramatic. In fact, much can be done with very small adjustments. People might notice something different about you but probably won’t notice a small change in your teeth!

Composite bonding uses a tooth colored resin that’s sculpted onto your tooth to lengthen it, repair breaks or cracks, or even cover up badly stained teeth. Dr. DeMars shapes the resin, so it will look and function like the rest of your teeth. The resin is hardened with a special light, and then shaped and polished. It will be very difficult to see where your tooth stops and the bonding begins!

Smile Whitening

Tooth whitening is one of the easiest ways to give your smile a real boost. At Long Grove Dental Studio, we offer Zoom!2® Advanced Power Whitening to lighten the color of your teeth up to 10 times whiter! It’s a simple process where we apply a bleaching gel (after protecting your surrounding gums), and you relax for about 45 minutes while the gel works its magic with the aid of a special light.

If you’d rather whiten at home, Dr. DeMars can make prescription-strength Pola tooth whitening trays.
